What happens when a major storm comes our way?

SAINT JUDE CATHOLIC SCHOOL
WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE IS A MAJOR STORM?

Should a major storm move toward Palm Beach County, Saint Jude Catholic School will follow the policies adopted by the Palm Beach County Public School authorities regarding school closings for inclement weather (Hurricanes & Tornadoes). If such an announcement appears on the local news, Saint Jude School will follow the same directives as the Palm Beach County Public Schools. Announcements are normally made beginning at 6:00 a.m.
Please refer to your local radio/television stations & social media concerning school closing announcements in Palm Beach County.

Saint Jude Catholic School will reopen when all is safe for staff and students and with the approval of the Superintendent. Updates will be sent via EBLAST and Social Media.

PLEASE NOTE!

1. If you feel your child is in harm, or you are uncomfortable leaving him/her at school during the storm, please keep your child home and he/she will receive an EXCUSED absence.
2. As storms approach, it is often frightening for the parent and the student. During this time, we will adhere to our Re-Entry Plan - should you wish to pick your child up from school, please ring the bell at the gate and we will bring your child/re to you.

The safety and care of the children is our top priority.
